Nottingham Forest have been in talks over getting two star men tied down to fresh terms, and contract discussions have reportedly also taken place with a third member of the squad.
The Reds are keen to extend the stays of full-back Ola Aina and striker Chris Wood ahead of their deals expiring in the summer. Unless agreements are reached before the new year, both would be free to sign a pre-contract with an overseas club from January 1.
However, it seems the pair are not the only players Forest have been in talks with. According to the Daily Mail, discussions have also been held with Morgan Gibbs-White about a new deal.
The England international penned a five-year contract when he joined the Reds from Wolverhampton Wanderers for an initial £25 million in the summer of 2022. It is said the 24-year-old is seeking a “significant rise” on his reported £60,000 a week terms.
Gibbs-White has established himself as a key player at the City Ground over the past two-and-a-half years. He has been integral to Forest competing at the top end of the Premier League table this term, with the club fourth in the table after beating Brentford 2-0 on Saturday.

Against the Bees, Nuno Espirito Santo deployed the attacker in a deeper role and he was just as impressive there as when he plays further up the pitch. Afterwards, the Reds head coach said the effectiveness of Gibbs-White’s midfield pairing with Elliot Anderson was down to the duo being disciplined in their duties at the Gtech Community Stadium.
“It is about the balance and realising that if one goes, the other has to stay,” Nuno said. “They are mature enough and have good knowledge of the game, even though they are very young.”
