Marcus Rashford has been dropped by Ruben Amorim for the third Manchester United game running, however this did not stop the attacker from appearing at Old Trafford today.
The boyhood Man United star was not selected first for last Sunday's Premier League Manchester derby victory alongside Alejandro Garnacho. His manager, Amorim, announced this was not disciplinary but he expected improvement in standards.
Garnacho would then return for Thursday's Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat at Tottenham though there was still no sign of Rashford. In between matches he had conducted an interview with journalist Henry Winter, stating he was ready to leave the club for a 'new challenge'.
For a third successive match he has not been included, with Amorim locking in his squad to play Bournemouth in the league at Old Trafford.
It is the first time the club have played at home since the 27-year-old's exodus began, and with that, multiple sources such as BBC Sport and Sky Sports have reported he is in attendance in the stands for Sunday's fixture.
Images made it onto social media of Rashford wearing the same club attire his teammates wore to arrive, in the Old Trafford tunnel pre-match taking pictures and signing autographs for supporters:
With the January transfer window approaching, recent events have made sure the attacker's future is uncertain. What remains uncontested is his love and respect for the club, as this backs up what he told Winter in his midweek interview.
Asked if he'd always be a United supporter, he replied: "Yes! 100 percent. 100 percent."
"When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. You're not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That's me as a person."
