Chelsea fans have taken to social media to blame Blues' forward Nicolas Jackson for their 0-0 draw against Everton at Goodison Park today (December 22). Both sides had big chances to potentially open the scoring on the day but neither could as they ended up sharing the points.
Nicolas Jackson particularly had two major chances to score for the Blues. In the 26th minute, a driven low cross from Cole Palmer was met by the Senegal international, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper. Only four minutes later (32'), a corner from Enzo Fernandez found Jackson at the far post, but he hit the post from point-blank range.
Those two big chances could have given Chelsea all three points had they found the back of the net and the fans took notice of this. They took to X to slam the forward with comments like these:

"BTW this draw is on Nicolas Jackson. If he was able to convert one of his chances in the first half Chelsea would have won this game." a fan said.
"Reality is Jackson cost us three points today should’ve scored these chances" another added.

"Jackson squandered the biggest chance we had in the first half and did nothing after I don’t get this gist. Score that and Everton’s approach to the game would have been different" this fan complained.
"Last week Jackson missed sitters but scored at the end of the game. Today he missed further sitters and that cost Chelsea the win" another stated.
Chelsea boss speaks to the press after 0-0 Everton draw
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca spoke to the press after the Blues dropped points in their 0-0 draw against Everton at Goodison Park. Despite having big chances to win the game, the Blues struggled in the final third as Sean Dyche's side held them off well.
After the game Maresca was asked about the draw, and he revealed he was pleased with the performance of the players (via football.london):
"I'm absolutely happy. I'm more happy today than the Brentford game. It's a tricky game, tricky stadium, tricky team. They are one of the five best teams defensively in Europe in terms of clean sheets."
When asked what the Blues might have done differently, he added:
"I said we knew already, it was a tough game to create chances. In general, you struggle to create chances against them. There was not space for Cole. Overall in this kind of game, you have to be clinical."
Next, the Blues will return to Stamford Bridge for their upcoming Premier League match against Fulham on December 26.
