Barcelona forward Raphinha said he takes full responsibility for [Saturday’s disappointing defeat to Atletico Madrid](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/12/21/24325277/barcelona-atletico-madrid-la-liga-final-score-match-report-recap-reactions).
The Brazilian star had a glorious chance to score after being put through by Pedri but saw his lobbed effort hit the crossbar.
Raphinha admits he should have scored and also says he was guilty of a poor that allowed Atletico Madrid to score the winner.
> “I take full responsibility for the defeat. I wasted a chance to score and then Atletico equalised shortly afterwards. Then I messed up a pass which led to the second goal,” he told the media.

In all fairness, Raphinha has done very little wrong this season. He’s been arguably Barcelona’s best player and will hope to continue that kind of form in 2025.
