Ange Postecoglou would be wise to replace Tottenham forward Son Heung-min at half-time in the Premier League against Liverpool.
Arne Slot’s side dominated the first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 22 December, with Postecoglou perhaps regretting leaving one player on the bench.
That dominance paid off as they took the lead through Luis Díaz in the 23rd minute before Alexis Mac Allister doubled that lead nine minutes before the break, underlining the need for first-team additions in January.
James Maddison did cut the visitors’ lead in half, but Spurs were unable to capitalise on this, as Dominik Szoboszlai restored Liverpool’s two-goal lead with seconds left in the half.
However, Postecoglou won’t want to take this result lying down, and could look to make changes.

Son has been non-existent in the first-half amid uncertainty over his future in North London.
As per Sofascore, he has completed just 77 per cent of his passes, while his one shot was off target. In addition, he won zero per cent of his ground duels, while he also gave possession away seven times and was caught offside twice.

Therefore, if Spurs have any slim hopes of getting back into this game, Son needs to be hooked, with Brennan Johnson waiting in the wings.
