Mbappe talks post long-awaited MOTM performance vs Sevilla

Real Madrid ended 2024 on a positive note by securing a comfortable 4-2 victory over Sevilla at Santiago Bernabeu.

Dealing without the services of star man Vinicius Junior, Real Madrid did not lack any inspiration going forward, with Kylian Mbappe’s Man of the Match worthy performance being the biggest takeaway.

Although the Frenchman only scored one goal, his overall involvement was quite impressive as he helped Real Madrid dismantle the Sevilla defensive line.

Mbappe speaks after superb performance vs Sevilla

Speaking to the press after the game, Mbappe highlighted the Bilbao game was a rock bottom for him and how he is happy to have made a comeback.

“I can give a lot more, I hit rock bottom with the Bilbao game, I knew I had to give my all with this shirt,” he said.

Talking about the game itself, Mbappe added, “My feeling is great. Fede and I scored two great goals, just like we do at Valdebebas.

“We gave everything in the first half, from the start, we scored good goals. We always played forward, and in the end we scored many goals and I think the Madridistas are happy today,” he added.

Perhaps most importantly, Mbappe admitted that his ‘adaptation’ period is over at Real Madrid and that he is ready to offer much more at the Bernabeu.

“The adaptation is over as the coach said, I’m getting better and better. I know I can do more, I still have ‘madness’ in my legs,” he said.

Finally, as 2024 nears its end, the Frenchman delivered a message to all the Real Madrid fans about what they can expect in the new year.

“**For 2025 I hope the best for all Real Madrid fans and that more titles come and that it is better than 2024,**” he concluded.
