Another weekend, another game in which Liverpool can count on Mohamed Salah. If it was not already obvious there can only be one answer to his unresolved contract situation.
It would not actively be fair to heap sole plaudits on Salah as Liverpool run riot at Tottenham Hotspur. Their 6-3 advantage would not have been possible without goals from Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, whilst Trent Alexander-Arnold has dictated play.
But none of that quartet possess the record of their Egyptian team-mate prior to day, nor afterwards. In fact, neither does anybody to ever kick a ball in Premier League history to date.

With his through-ball finding Szoboszlai to restore the Reds' two-goal lead on the stroke of half-time, it brought Salah's set-ups in the English top-flight to 10 assists in just 16 appearances. Netting two of the easiest he will ever score in the club's colours after the break, it also extended his goal tally to 15 in the league this season.
Considering the team have played one match fewer than most rivals after the Merseyside derby's recent postponement, his new achievement of becoming the first-ever player in the Premier League era to reach double figures for goals and assists before Christmas is made that much more special.
The 32-year-old is actively leading this Liverpool title charge - that much is plain to see. This marker also proves once more he is only getting better with age, so one can only implore FSG to resolve his currently in-doubt future on Merseyside, and fast.
Salah wants to sign a new deal - he has expressed disappointment one has not yet come. Liverpool would lose so much of their attacking threat without him. There are simply no transfer targets or even current teammates suggesting they can put up the numbers required to fill his quota.
FSG hold all the cards financially. Forget crunching the numbers, they must make their move as from January 1 the door will open for his exit and there will be nothing they can do.
With Virgil van Dijk's contract, the dream may be to see him hold up a signed contract in front of a Christmas tree this week - just as he did with the Liverpool shirt upon arrival. With Alexander-Arnold, it might have been nice for him to renew around the time Real Madrid visited Anfield. Such poeticism went amiss and we wait.
But with Salah it never mattered where or when, the message was simple - get it done. That message remains the same, Liverpool just get it done.
