Wolves fans enjoyed a return to winning ways on Sunday after with a 3-0 victory over Leicester City.
Goncalo Guedes, Rodrigo Gomes and Matheus Cunha all got amongst the goals as the Old Gold cruised to a victory in Vitor Pereira’s first match in charge.
The game certainly helped push Wolves towards Premier League survival as they rose to 18th, two points off the Foxes.
However, there is still a long way to go if the club are to secure their place in the top-flight after a series of mistakes put Wolves in this precarious position.
Fans watching on at the King Power Stadium were quick to make this point clear as they directed chants towards chairman Jeff Shi.

While it may have been a great day out for Wolves, it is only the first step in getting the club out of a terrible situation.
The Old Gold are still in the relegation zone thanks to a series of mistakes from the owners, Matt Hobbs and former manager Gary O’Neil.

Despite the latter now being sacked, fans are yet to forgive Shi for his mis-management that has plagued the first-half of the campaign.
During the victory over Leicester, the travelling fans could be heard chanting about their chairmen, citing how little he cares for the supporters.
Wolves fans:
“I don’t care about Jeff Shi
“He don’t care about me
“All I care about….is Wolves FC 🎶”

Wolves’ win over Leicester won’t change fans’ opinion on Fosun

While it was certainly a game to remember, it does not change the fact that Wolves need new owners.
The past few months have only highlighted further how badly the club is run. The fact O’Neil was allowed to remain as Wolves manager for so long despite the results is baffling.
On top of this, the transfer strategy Shi has been operating under at Wolves is untenable with the club’s best players constantly departing.
The Old Gold could stay up this season, but under Fosun, relegation is inevitable.
If Wolves are to survive long-term in the Premier League, they simply need new owners.
