Jamie Carragher had a Premier League title race message for Chelsea and Arsenal after Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur

Liverpool have extended their advantage at the top of the Premier League table with a 6-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur heading into Christmas. With that, Jamie Carragher is confident title rivals Chelsea and Arsenal are going to be worried.
The Reds came away with three points from a nine-goal thriller that took twists and turns in North London. Goals from Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai whilst James Maddison netted the hosts' first had seen Liverpool take control.
Adding two goals to an earlier assist, Mohamed Salah looked to have put matters to bed. That was until two more Spurs goals changed the picture slightly, at least until Diaz added a sixth to settle matters for good.

With Chelsea held to a goalless draw with Everton earlier on Sunday, Arne Slot's men are top of the Premier League with a four-point gap in their favour, plus a game in hand to extend that. Arsenal are third with 33 points, again having played one match more than the leaders.
"It does [send a message to the other title hopefuls]," Carragher said of today's win on Sky Sports. "I felt that coming today.
"It felt like a really big game and I go back to the last time Liverpool won the league. They went to Leicester around this time of year, won 4-0 and it felt really significant."
With those goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke prompting a nervy spell in the second half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Liverpool icon suggested this might actually aid their title quest more than a comfortable victory.
He continued: "I do think there will be a frustration when they get into the dressing room that the score is not 6-1 or 7-1, and it’s 6-3. That might actually be a good thing - ‘we’ve got a good result, we’re top of the table but we can’t let that happen again’. At one stage we’re thinking if Tottenham score and it goes 5-4, but I thought Liverpool were outstanding."
Finally addressing rivals, he said: "If you’re watching that and you’re Chelsea or Arsenal, you’re thinking ‘oh, these are gonna take some stopping’."
