Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca hailed the performance of defender Tosin Adarabioyo following the goalless Premier League draw at Everton on Sunday.
The Blues went into the game on an eight-match winning streak in all competitions and they were considered favourites to beat the Toffees on the road.
However, they lacked the cutting edge to find the back of the net and could have lost the game. Adarabioyo made a crucial goalsaving block in the 77th minute.
Speaking after the draw, Maresca was impressed with his showing.
The Italian told reporters: "Tosin was very good. All the players defensively were very good. Clean sheet, we don't concede. Happy for them."
Adarabioyo signed for the Blues on a free transfer from Fulham last summer and he was a fringe player at the start of the campaign.
However, his fortunes have changed in recent weeks with the injuries for Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile. Both are out for the long-term.
The Englishman has capitalised on their absence with stand-out displays and has the chance to become an undisputed starter going forward.
