Paris Saint-Germain opened the Coupe de France Round of 64 against RC Lens on Sunday night at Stade Bollaert-Delelis. The Parisians thought they had opened the scoring thanks to a goal from Achraf Hakimi, but it was ruled offside.
Nonetheless, the replay does show that Hakimi looks to be onside, and the goal should’ve counted. For those who need a reminder, there’s no VAR at this stage of the Coupe de France, considering it’s likely a challenge for lower-level clubs to accommodate. As a result, PSG have to live with the call.
