'Magic': Milos Kerkez sends three-word message after seeing what happened during Liverpool 6-3 Tottenham

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur were involved in a goal-fest in North London that eventually ended 6-3 in favour of the Reds.

Two goals apiece from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah and one each from Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai set the Reds on their way to an important victory.

Szoboszlai earned rave reviews from Liverpool fans on social media for his all-round showing, but the Anfield faithful weren’t the only ones showing him a bit of love.

Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, whose name is familiar to the Liverpool faithful, also had his say on his compatriot’s performance.

Starting in midfield alongside Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch, Szoboszlai played one of his best games of the season as he notched up a goal and an assist.

His relentless running and work ethic were on show several times as he produced one of his best performances of the season.

Szoboszlai took to Instagram to post a series of pictures after the win and Kerkez left a comment on it, which was spotted by eagle-eyed fans.

Kerkez has been linked with a move to Anfield, but Liverpool sources are adamant that a transfer won’t be on the cards in the January transfer window.

The Hungarian knows Szoboszlai well due to his stint with the national team and commented “Magic, my bruder” in his post after the Reds secured a 6-3 win.

Do Liverpool need Kerkez?

With Andy Robertson blowing hot and cold this season and his contract set to expire in the summer of 2026, Liverpool might look to re-evaluate his future at the end of the season.

As for Kostas Tsimikas, he’s an able deputy to the Scot, but his injury issues have emerged as a bit of a problem for the Reds.

A player like Kerkez could be the Reds’ long-term answer at left-back, with the player well known to Richard Hughes as he helped bring him to the Vitality Stadium while he was working with the Cherries.

With Szoboszlai also at the club, maybe the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world could be too hard to turn down for Kerkez.

Whether or not they make a move, however, remains to be seen.
