Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Sunday provided a fresh insight into the recent struggles which he encountered from a mental standpoint.
Frontman Mbappé, for his part, is of course fresh off a fine showing earlier this afternoon.
Afforded a starting berth in Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Sevilla, the Frenchman notched a goal and an assist, on his way to Man of the Match honours in the Spanish capital.
As much added to what has been a timely recent uptick in form on Mbappé’s part, amid a hit-and-miss debut Blancos season.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle on Sunday, the 25-year-old, in turn, opened up on some of the mental struggles which he has endured of late.
Specifically, Mbappé highlighted his penalty miss, en route to defeat at Athletic Club earlier this month, as ‘rock bottom’ from a personal standpoint:
“I hit rock bottom in the Bilbao game, and it made me realise that I had to give my all.”
