Beating Brentford hasn’t been for everyone this season but Nottingham Forest aren’t everyone.
The Bees had won seven and drawn one at home before Saturday’s game, with Forest becoming the first team to win at the Gtech Community Stadium this season.
It’s three wins on the spin for Forest as goals from Ola Aina and Anthony Elanga gave the Reds a huge three points and ensured fourth place on Christmas Day.
Elanga has been texting Jermain Defoe for advice lately and clearly, it’s paid dividends with two goals in his last two games.
Thomas Frank was somewhat perplexed about Forest after the game and once again he appeared somewhat salty. Quick, get those XG figures, Thomas!
Forest had a number of top performers in West London and one man in particular blew Henry Winter away.

Henry Winter blown away by Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White
Gibbs-White was outstanding against Brentford and he really shone in the number eight position as Nuno Espirito Santo tweaked things.
Brian Laws hailed the Forest head coach for going with three centre-backs but it was the decision to start Gibbs-White in central midfield that also felt intriguing.

Winter was impressed with Gibbs-White and he admitted to being blown away by him during the 2-0 win for Forest.
He said live on TalkSPORT: “Morgan Gibbs-White, I mean his skill under pressure I think is just fantastic. The way that he threads the ball through, they’re so quick in transition.”
Gibbs-White stats against Brentford
This was a remarkable performance from Gibbs-White against the Bees who had been magnificent at home before Saturday.
Forest stifled the home side and quickly ensured that the crowd became silent – with the Bees renowned for an early goal.
Gibbs-White seemed to thrive in the number eight role and he certainly didn’t look out of place as a more conventional central midfielder.
