Since his arrival at FC Barcelona, Hansi Flick has formed quite a clear idea about his starting eleven, and despite the recent return of some big names from injuries, the German has not really altered his starting line-up.
In such a scenario, some players who are quite low in the pecking order are struggling in particular to get their desired minutes on the pitch.
This is particularly the case with the young midfielder Pablo Torre, about whom [SPORT](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/desaparicion-pablo-torre-abre-incognitas-futuro-fc-barcelona-112860122) notes that he has not played even a single minute in the last five games, four in La Liga and one against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.
The last time he got on the pitch for Barcelona was for the game against Las Palmas, in which he started but was replaced by Lamine Yamal at half-time. He was not really shining in that game, but was also not the worst Blaugrana player on the pitch, as he created a good chance for Fermin Lopez early on.
This season, he has only played 267 minutes in total, thus ranking 20th on the list of 26 Barcelona players who have played an official match under Flick. He is above players like Marc Bernal, Pau Victor, Sergi Dominguez, Ansu Fati, Christensen, and Cuenca, and also has 3 goals and 1 assist to his name.
At the start of the season, he was expected to have a somewhat prominent role in Flick’s scheme, which relies a lot on a playmaker playing behind the forward line.
Even though the Barcelona coach has names like Dani Olmo and Gavi for this position, Pablo Torre’s ostracism does not make a lot of sense, and he could have been a good option for the matches against Real Betis and Leganes where a shakeup in the team was needed to get a result.
For now, Torre will be looking to turn things around with the [Copa del Rey tie against Barbastro](https://barcanewsnetwork.com/fc-barcelona-set-to-take-on-a-familiar-foe-in-the-copa-del-rey/), but there is no doubt that his prominence at Barcelona has reduced significantly, and with several teams still interested in a loan for him, his future at the club is quite uncertain.
