Leeds United have had a dominant season so far and Daniel Farke will be pleased with his side as they look to gain automatic promotion this term.
However, if they are to achieve their aims, it will be essential for the Whites to keep their momentum up throughout the campaign, which means making the right additions in the January transfer window.
One area where the Whites have been lacking this term is upfront, with Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph failing to deliver consistently in front of goal.
With this in mind, Farke’s ears will surely have pricked up upon hearing the confirmed news that Aston Villa have recalled Louie Barry from his loan spell at Stockport County, with the intention of sending him back out on a temporary move to the Championship.
The Sunday Mirror detailed on 15 December that the West Yorkshire outfit are interested in gaining the 21-year-old’s services, so this recall by Villa his hugely encouraging news ahead of the January window.

Louie Barry would help Leeds United promotion aims
Barry has been in outstanding form in League One this season, scoring 14 goals and registering three assists in 21 appearances, so it comes as no surprise that his parent club are keen to recall him and allow him the opportunity to step up to the next level.
Piroe and Joseph have just nine goals between them so far this term and, although the Championship is a step up in quality, it certainly isn’t the form you’d expect from the strikers of a side that are chasing automatic promotion.
Therefore, it is essential to make changes to the side for the next part of the campaign.
