All the early injury news surrounding Tottenham and Nottingham Forest as they prepare to face off on Boxing Day.
Next up is a tough-to-beat Nottingham Forest side, and away from home, no less. Here we round up all the early injury news surrounding both sides ahead of the Boxing Day clash at the City Ground.
Ibrahim Sangare - Out
Sangare is not expected to return until the new year. Nuno Espirito Santo has said of his hamstring injury: “Ibrahim didn’t join the group yet. We need them as soon as possible.”
Danilo - Out
Danilo is close to a return, but he is not likely to play until the new year. Santo said: “Danilo is closer and is working with us.”
Gugliemo Vicario - Out
Vicario is a long-term absentee who will be looking to return in the spring. Postecoglou has said: “Typical Vic, he's pushing every boundary. He's still a fair bit away, but he'll make sure he's back as quickly as possible. He's still around the group and invested in what we're doing. He's progressing well.”
Richarlison - Out
Richarlison will be aiming to return in mid-Jauary from his thigh injury. Postecoglou has said: “Richarlison, hopefully, he'll be back in the New Year but, again, similar to Micky (van de Ven), we've got to be careful every step of the way.”
Ben Davies - Out
Davies is in contention to return after this game after picking up a slight thigh issue. Postecoglou said: “Ben is not as bad as first thought. There is a chance he could be back hopefully before the new year, so that was positive again.”
Odobert will be out for a long period after undergoing surgery on a thigh injury.
Van de Ven is not expected to return until the new year, although there has been little clarity on his latest setback.
