Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Lina Souloukou as its new CEO. The appointment came on Monday morning with Souloukou's new role to be effective from January 5.
Having formerly held similar roles at Italian club AS Roma and Greek side Olympiacos, she brings experience in club 'growth and success'. The new Forest CEO worked with owner Evangelos Marinakis during her time at Olympiacos which began in 2016.
Speaking to the club's official website, Souloukou: "I am honoured to rejoin Mr Marinakis’ football family. The opportunity to drive forward the success of Nottingham Forest and contribute the wider group is an exciting challenge. I look forward to starting work in the new year to deliver on our shared ambitions."
The Forest owner also spoke of the appointment: "We are delighted to welcome Lina Souloukou to our team. Her proven track record in football management and her passion and commitment align perfectly with our vision for Nottingham Forest and the wider group as we continue to push for greater success.”
The Trees have been without a CEO since Dane Murphy left almost two years ago in January 2023. Souloukou is from a legal background having studied law at university in Madrid. Her first role with Marinakis was as his legal advisor at Olympiacos.
