USMNT international Weston McKennie was the MOTM in Monza-Juventus, according to Gazzetta and Tuttosport, as the ‘versatile’ American winger scored his second Serie A goal this season and contributed to Nico Gonzalez’s winner.
Juventus won their first Serie A match in over a month on Sunday night, beating strugglers Monza 2-1 at the U-Power Stadium.
Their victory was largely inspired by American midfielder McKennie, who opened the account at minute 14.

McKennie was the MOTM in Monza, according to Gazzetta and Tuttosport.
The Turin-based paper praised McKennie for his versatility. The 26-year-old started the game as a left-back due to Danilo’s injury and finished as an attacking midfielder following Andrea Cambiaso’s introduction.
Another Juventus player who received high marks was Nico Gonzalez, who scored his second consecutive goal, eventually bringing Juventus all three points.
On the other hand, most of the Juventus defenders were below par, especially Pierre Kalulu, whose rating was below 6/10 on all Italian sports papers.
