Arsenal are on a ten game unbeaten run in all competitions heading into 2025. However it’s not all good news as Mikel Arteta confirmed today that Bukayo Saka will be out for several weeks following the injury he picked up against Crystal Palace.
The Arsenal manager revealed the Arsenal winger has torn his hamstring as he said: “It’s not looking good, he’s going to be out for many weeks.”
However Arteta also chose to put a positive stance on the news as he stated “It could have been much worse” for the 23-year-old.

Bukayo Saka is expected to out for around six weeks which means he won’t be back until February at the earliest. It’s a huge blow for the Gunners who are already on the chase in the Premier League title race and can’t afford to drop anymore points.
With the January transfer window set to open in a weeks time, it presents an opportunity for Arsenal to help ease the blow of Bukayo Saka’s injury. However Mikel Arteta says he isn’t focused on that right now and his only intention is to get the best out of the players he currently has available.
Mikel Arteta on dealing with no Bukayo Saka: “I’m putting some ideas together. I haven’t got there yet but I’ve got a few. It’s going to mean we are going to be different.

Mikel Arteta went on to mention the names of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri and even Kai Havertz as options to fill the right wing spot without Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling available.
Mikel Arteta on Gabriel Martinelli at right wing: “He’s played there before. He did really well. He scored a goal, created an assist and is a good option to have.”
Raheem Sterling was unavailable for the game at Selhurst Park after picking up an injury in training last week. The Arsenal manager on Sterling: “He’s gonna be out for weeks. He needs further testing tomorrow to understand the extent of his injury.”
