Newcastle United Champions League verdict as AI makes fresh Premier League predictions

Newcastle United are tipped to finish in the Europa League spots

Newcastle United are tipped to finish in the Europa League spots

Newcastle United are set to gain Europa League qualification, according to the latest supercomputer predictions.

A draw against Liverpool and big victories against relegation-threatened Leicester City and Ipswich Town have moved Eddie Howe's side up the predicted table. However, the Champions League will remain a long way off.

The AI predictions, from Skinlords.com, places Newcastle in fifth place on 62 points. This is up two places but on the same amount of points from last month's supercomputer predictions.

One thing worth noting is that if England can improve in the UEFA coefficient, it could provide a pathway back to Europe's top table. This would require all seven Premier League clubs in the European competitions to continue to impress.

Nottingham Forest would join the Magpies in the Europa League spots, ending the season on the same points. Bournemouth have been predicted to get Europa Conference League football.

In other news, Liverpool are still tipped to win their second Premier League - just two points ahead of second place. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City claim the other Champions League positions.

The supercomputer places Manchester United in 13th place, their lowest Premier League finish. Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton are all predicted to suffer an immediate relegation back to the Championship, with the latter totalling up a record low points tally.
