‘How Disrespectful’‘£65M And McAtee Seems Fair’Fans Debate After City Are Linked With Bid For West Ham Ace

Manchester City are reportedly willing to spend around €80m (£66m) on West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus.

Although the source is said to be very questionable, it hasn’t stopped supporters from giving their take on the story.

While the majority of the fanbase on X believe that City’s offer would be too low, others feel like there could be room for negotiation:

€80m? How disrespectful. Should be €90-100!

City aren’t prepared to release McAtee until they have a replacement so we keep hold of Kudus! Unless it’s in the deal

Should be around €95m-€100m

West Ham can demand what fee they like until the summer

There is a release clause in Kudus’s contract but it will only become active again at the end of the season.

It means that the Hammers can set their own asking price in January, with reports suggesting that they would want a fee between £90m and £100m, which is significantly higher than what City are said to be willing to offer.

Kudus has other clubs pursuing his signature

City are by no means the only team circling the Ghanaian international. The likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and even Newcastle have been mentioned as potential suitors in recent weeks.

Kudus scored his 3rd goal of the season during the 1-1 draw against Brighton at the weekend and those types of performances will help West Ham maintain their high valuation heading into next month’s transfer window.
