Pedri sends motivating message for his Barcelona teammates as they go for Christmas break

Saturday night was a highly disappointing one for everyone associated with FC Barcelona as the Blaugranes fell to a defeat to Atletico Madrid in the very last minute of the game, and that too after having been the better side on the pitch for almost the entirety of the match.

However, one individual who would have experienced this disappointment even more keenly than anyone else would be the midfielder Pedri, who was inarguably the best player on the pitch on the night. The Canarian was visibly distraught after seeing Sorloth scoring from a counter in the dying moments of the game.

Still, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, the midfielder was far from heartbroken with this defeat, as he took to social media to keep his teammates motivated with a message of encouragement.

The midfielder’s social media post went as:

“We need to turn this frustration into fuel. Come back recharged and with the sole purpose of improving, competing again at our best level, and finishing the season on top. Enjoy these days with your family, as we will. It will do us all good. Happy Holidays and Força Barça!”

After a very strong start to the season, Barcelona have dropped off significantly in the last two months, especially in La Liga. The Blaugranes have squandered their top position in the La Liga table to Atletico Madrid, and currently stand third after Real Madrid climbed to second position with their win against Sevilla last night.
