The sweetness of a 5-1 win for Arsenal over Crystal Palace has swiftly been soured by some concerning news regarding Bukayo Saka.
Mikel Arteta was forced to withdraw the England international for Leandro Trossard in just the 24th minute during the Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on Saturday – after the Arsenal No.7 signalled to the bench he was injured.
Saka was expected to miss ten games due to his issue – which has now been confirmed as a torn hamstring – representing a major blow to an Arsenal side who still need to make up ground on Liverpool and Chelsea.
Now – however – if that wasn’t already concerning enough, an even more worrying update has emerged about Bukayo Saka.
Arsenal insider says Bukayo Saka could be out until March
Team News and Ticks – an Arsenal insider who regularly reveals lineups and injuries accurately before it becomes public knowledge – has now stated the following on their Patreon.
They said: “Now people are reporting it will be eight weeks. I am told that is a bare minimum, and the likelihood is we won’t see him until March.”

That is a hugely significant blow for Arsenal – and could well derail the 2024/25 campaign.
Saka has been pivotal this season, scoring nine goals and providing 13 assists in just 24 appearances to cement himself as one of the most efficient attackers in Europe.
Mikel Arteta may need to spend in January
Arteta has a few options right now.
Gabriel Martinelli impressed on the right flank after the Hale End graduate was forced off against Crystal Palace, so the Brazil international could be moved from his usual position on the left.

Ethan Nwaneri could also replace Saka, given their similar profiles – both like to cut inside from the right flank onto their stronger left foot.
Arsenal had a backup option in Raheem Sterling – but he is also injured now too.
Therefore, if Arsenal fail to cope without Saka in the next few games, there is every chance of Arteta dipping into the market for a replacement, with the January transfer window just days away.
