The Friedkin Group displaying Everton at the front of their official website shows they take pride in being their owners, according to The Esk.
One of the first things the Friedkins did after completing the takeover of the Merseyside-based club on Thursday (19 December) was to add the Toffees’ name to the “companies” section of their website.
They also displayed a montage of the Goodison Park outfit on the home page, which Paul Quinn, aka The ESK, reckons is “wonderful”.
“When you first go on to the Friedkin site this evening or tomorrow or whenever, the first thing that you’ll see is a wonderful montage about Everton Football Club”, he said on his podcast, as transcribed on the website (23 December).
“Why have they done that? They don’t have other investors to satisfy. This is not a public company.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
“So they haven’t done it for any other reason other than, first of all, they’re proud of the purchase that they’ve acquired.
“And secondly, they see value in telling the world that they are the owners of Everton Football Club.
“And who on earth as an Evertonian would not want to hear that? Yeah, good start for me.”
Everton owner Dan Friedkin starts off Goodison Park reign on right foot
There has been an air of positivity around Goodison Park since the takeover was confirmed last week.
A day after the announcement, the Toffees were officially handed the keys to their new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.
Three-and-a-half years after the project was launched, the Merseyside outfit have now taken full control of their new home, with a fit-out plan now in place.
On the pitch, Sean Dyche led his side to a 0-0 draw against Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday (22 December), moving four points clear of the relegation zone.
The Friedkins have started off their time on Merseyside on the right foot, with fans excited about the club’s direction for the first time in several years.
Everton Farhad Moshiri
Farhad Moshiri has left Everton.
It now remains to be seen if they can maintain their reputation and take Everton to greater heights.
Avoiding relegation will be integral to their long-term plans and it is, therefore, imperative that Dyche and co steer clear of the drop zone.
