Wolves fans are feeling optimistic again, after Vitor Pereira oversaw a resounding win in his first game in charge.
Wolves beat Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium on Sunday and the club are now two points behind the Foxes in the table.
It was a superb display from Wolves considering what we’ve seen over the past few weeks, and how little time Pereira had to prepare for the game.
But Wolves were clinical when their chances came, and solid at the back which was extremely refreshing.
Leicester were very poor. Nevertheless, it was a great, confidence-boosting game and hopefully Wolves can now follow it up with a similar display on Boxing Day against Manchester United.
One would imagine there will be a great chance that Goncalo Guedes will start the game after he shone against Leicester.

Against Leicester, Guedes scored his fifth goal of the season for Wolves. He also assisted Matheus Cunha, meaning he now has nine contributions.
That is a very impressive return, considering Guedes has only played 491 minutes.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Guedes now has more contributions than the likes of Marcus Rashford and Diogo Jota, and he’s certainly establishing himself as a very impactful player for Wolves.
For many, he’s been a real surprise package this season. Because early in the summer window, it had looked like Guedes was going to leave the club. Indeed, it was claimed that Guedes was on the Wolves transfer list at the start of the window.
He’d come back from his loan spell with Villarreal, and did not go to Wolves’ pre-season training camp in Marbella.
But then. O’Neil sprung a surprise by giving Guedes minutes in a training ground game against Bristol City.
Then, Guedes flew out with his Wolves teammates to Miami for the second stage of pre-season.
The forward has since been in every single matchday squad this season for Wolves, and Pereira is probably thankful for his reintegration by O’Neil, who will probably be kicking himself he didn’t actually play him more after keeping hold of him.
Wolves must not let Goncalo Guedes leave in January
Guedes is reportedly wanted back by Villarreal.
But Molineux officials, and also Pereira, just cannot allow this to happen.
Hopefully Guedes will not push to leave the club in January, but even if he does Wolves have got to do everything they can to prevent his exit.
Goncalo Guedes for Wolves this season
Appearances – 16
Minutes played – 491
Goals – 5
Assists – 4
Nine goal contributions in just 491 minutes is just superb output.
If anything happens to Matheus Cunha or Jorgen Strand Larsen, the Guedes will probably be the first port of call to play in their position.
