Barcelona are reportedly set to make a surprise move to sign Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku in 2025. The Frenchman is reportedly unhappy with his lack of playtime at Stanford Bridge and could be keen on the move.

Christopher Nkunku joined Chelsea last summer from RB Leipzig in 2023 on a six-year deal valid until 2029. The Frenchman has played 1,008 minutes for the Blues over 25 appearances across competitions this season, recording 12 goals and four assists. Despite his solid impact, he has often been second fiddle to Nicolas Jackson in the attack. The 27-year-old is reportedly keen on seeking a more prominent role this summer, with Barcelona monitoring the situation.

According to SPORT, Christopher Nkunku's agent, Pini Zahavi, has offered the attacker to Barcelona. The France international is reportedly also willing to take a pay cut to secure a move to the Camp Nou this summer. Given Barca's poor financial situation, Nkunku's intentions could further facilitate the potential move.

The aforementioned report further claims that agent Pini Zahavi's close relationship with President Joan Laporta is another plus for the club. Zahavi is known for managing multiple high-profile clients, including Robert Lewandowski and coach Hansi Flick. Apart from Nkunku, Zahavi has also presented Barcelona with other potential signings including Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.

Apart from Barca, Manchester United and Napoli are also monitoring Christopher Nkunku's situation at Chelsea. It remains to be seen whether Barca can pull off these potential deals, given LaLiga's stringent Financial Fair Play guidelines and their economic situation.

According to recent reports by Fichajes.net, Chelsea and Newcastle United are interested in signing Barcelona defender Eric Garcia. The Catalan side is also open to transfer talks and eyeing a reported €25 million for the Spaniard.

Garcia is a versatile talent as he's able to play as a full-back, center-back, and a pivot. The Blues reportedly see him as a great option amid inconsistent displays from the likes of Axel Disasi and Benoit Badiashile. Newcastle United are also looking to strengthen their squad with the Spaniard coming forward as a strong option.

Moreover, Garcia has been struggling to gain minutes under Hansi Flick since his injury in October 2024. The Spain international has played 541 minutes in 13 outings for La Blaugrana across competitions this season.

The aforementioned report claims that a January exit for Eric Garcia cannot be disregarded, given the Catalans' difficult financial situation. Moreover, Barca are well-stacked in the positions the 23-year-old can cover making a potential exit more probable.
