Barcelona have offered a glimpse into Marc Bernal’s progress as the youngster continues his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury.
[Bernal underwent knee surgery in September](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/9/9/24239720/barcelona-confirm-marc-bernal-out-for-12-months-after-successful-knee-surgery) after suffering an ACL injury and has been ruled out of action for 12 months.
The news was a devastating blow as Bernal had broken into the team at the start of the season and looked set for big things.
However, Bernal is working hard on his recovery, with Barcelona having posting footage of the youngster being put through his paces by the club’s staff.
We won’t see Bernal again this season but can look forward to having him back in the first-team squad for the 2025-26 campaign. The midfielder is still only 17 and so has a long future ahead of him at Barcelona.

His current deal runs until 2026, with the option of three more years, and his buyout clause is set at 500 million euros.
