In his column for **Sky Sports,** journalist **[Sacha Tavolieri](https://www.sky-sport.ch/fr/articles/paul-pogba-rayan-cherki-dani-olmo-osimhen-voici-les-infos-transferts-de-la-semaine/)** has revealed that Bayer Leverkusen have joined Juventus in the race to sign out-of-favour Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi (26).
Disasi regularly featured under Pochettino last season and was an important player for the Premier League outfit. However, since the appointment of the former Leicester manager, the former Monaco centre-back has struggled for opportunities this season – only playing 184 minutes in the English top flight so far.
Whilst the France international’s contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2029, he could be set for a departure, perhaps as early as January. Juventus are interested in the defender, however, they don’t have the financial means to pull off a deal, as things stand.
Bayer Leverkusen, however, may. The club may lose Jonathan Tah and are therefore anticipating his departure by drawing up a list of potential replacements. Disasi features on this list and the Bundesliga side have sounded out the defender’s entourage regarding a potential move. Should Tah leave, Bayer Leverkusen could make their move for Disasi.
