Nottingham Forest will be going in search of some new players during the January transfer window.
The Reds are currently fourth in the Premier League after 17 matches and Evangelos Marinakis will hope to continue pushing on.
Although there aren’t any glaring areas of the squad that need reinforcing, Forest will want to make sure that Nuno Espirito Santo has every tool possible to succeed.
Forest beat Brentford 2-0 on Saturday with Brian Laws hailing Espirito Santo for his tactical nouse to stifle the Bees.
With January only days away, Forest are starting to get linked with a few players and it would appear that the club will be targeting younger profiles once more.

Nottingham Forest want Sporting CP star Dario Essugo
According to On the Minute, Forest have thrown their name into the ring ahead of January to sign Essugo.
Chelsea, Wolves and Leeds are also in the mix to bring him to England and the defensive midfielder is a wanted man.
Essugo is currently on loan with Las Palmas where he’s playing in the same team as former Reds star Scott McKenna.
MORE FOREST STORIES
During 2024/25 he has made 14 appearances, with two of those coming for Sporting in the first month of the campaign.
At 19-years-old, Essugo has made 25 outings for Sporting but with clubs in England hoping to snare him, he could soon be on the move.
Forest need defensive midfielder
Having been with Ibrahim Sangare since September and Danilo since the first game of the season, a new defensive midfielder would be ideal.
Should both of those players remain on track to return in the New Year, it would feel surprising if the Reds went and landed another midfielder.
However, if either of them suffered setbacks at all, signing a player like Essugo might prove to be ideal.
At 19 he fits the profile of what sort of player Forest are looking to sign and the club would hardly have to break the bank to get him over the line.
Essugo is currently getting brilliant experience in La Liga and it will be interesting to see if Forest follow up on this interest in the player.
