Former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is under some serious pressure at Tottenham Hotspur as the Premier League club’s form continues to yo-yo.
Postecoglou was famed for his brilliant style of attacking football that had Celtic fans raving about him during his two years at the club.
The former Hoops boss was then targeted by Spurs and he left to join them in the summer of 2023.
Since then, Postecoglou was lauded at Spurs for his attacking style in the early tenure of his Spurs stay but recently, defensive issues and defeats have heaped praise on the Celtic treble winner.
And now, Shay Given has chipped in as the Newcastle legend speaks to Spurs as ‘a Glasgow Celtic supporter.
Shay Given gets honest about Ange Postecoglou at Celtic with message to Spurs
Given told the Football Daily podcast [20m], “Well, as a Glasgow Celtic supporter, I thought he was a hero in Glasgow and done an unbelievable job.
“And I just think I would love to see them stick with him. I really would, because going back, even when we played, Tottenham were always an entertaining team to play.
“They were always in the front foot, always scoring goals, creating chances. I think that’s the way Tottenham like to play.”

The Spurs boss is coming under more and more pressure to change his footballing philosophy but as all Celtic fans know, that is simply not going to happen.
But Given reckons more balance needs to be found, “Going back to what I said at the very start it’s just about getting more sort of balance in the team.
“It’s not all gung-ho. It’s game management. Call it what you want. A bit more discipline without the ball, perhaps and being harder to beat because they are leaking goals for fun.
“But I would like to see him supported in January and at least give him to the end of the season and see where they end up.”
The issues at Spurs are far more deep-rooted than just changing their manager. The sackings of Jose Mourinho, Harry Redknapp, Mauricio Potchetinno and others have proven that.

Ange has enjoyed immense success at every football team he has worked at and if Spurs stick with the process then for former Celtic manager will deliver.
Postecoglou took over at Celtic during one of the biggest rebuilds in their recent history and still blew Scottish football away.
If backed, success will come but it seems he may not enjoy the same backing at Spurs as he did at Celtic and that could prove costly for the Premier League club.
