Everton are predicted to avoid relegation this season, according to the updated Opta Supercomputer standings.
The Toffees picked up another good point on Sunday [22 December] as they saw out a 0-0 draw with an in-form Chelsea side.
The result leaves Sean Dyche’s side sitting 15th in the table and four points above the relegation zone. They are tipped to move down a place and finish 16th, but a solid nine points above relegation.
Sean Dyche can save Everton this season
It’s not been an easy season for the Blues so far, but throughout the campaign there has been a feeling that Dyche is the manager who would be able to keep his side in the top flight.
Therefore, after the completion of The Friedkin Group’s takeover of the Merseyside outfit, there will no doubt be even more faith in the club’s ability to save themselves with the potential of a couple of necessary squad additions in the January transfer window.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Although the team certainly need more attacking threat, the Toffees are very well organised defensively and that has helped them get points out of games with Chelsea and Arsenal, both of whom are in the top three of the Premier League.
It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Blues survive the season easily and, if they can get going a bit more in the New Year, Opta may well predict a higher-placed finish soon enough.
In other Everton news, one pundit couldn’t believe a “ridiculous” moment in the draw against Chelsea.
