Serie A duo keen on Chelsea prodigy, table vastly different loan bids

AC Monzo and Lazio have submitted different loan proposals as they look to sign Chelsea midfield sensation Cesare Casadei.

Cesare Casadei could be heading back to the Serie A in search of regular first-team action. While he is an important part of Chelsea’s first-team plan, the Italian youth international could secure a temporary move away from Stamford Bridge.

According to a report from Calciomercato, AC Monza and Lazio are both keen on bringing him back to Italy and both clubs have submitted completely different loan offers for the former Inter Milan star.

While he did come up the ranks at Inter, things didn’t work out for Casadei at the Italian club. He ended up leaving them to join Chelsea in the summer of 2022.

The Blues have big expectations from the young midfield sensation who can feature anywhere in the centre of the park. But, they haven’t been able to hand him enough first-team action in the ongoing season.

Enzo Maresca has done wonders for the London club and one of the major reasons for their success has been the shift to a 4-2-3-1 formation. While things have started to click for Chelsea’s young squad in this system with a double pivot in midfield, it has had a massive impact on the game time of some of their stars as Enzo Fernandez and Moisés Caicedo are undisputed starters in that role.

Casadei is one of the players who has only played in cup competitions so far. While the Blues have total confidence in his abilities, they feel a loan move away could be of great help to the 21-year-old. It could help him continue his development at a rapid rate.

Casadei could return to Italy

AC Monza and Lazio have emerged as two potential destinations. Both clubs seek more quality in the centre of the park and they are ready to bring the former Inter star back to Serie A. Both Italian outfits have already submitted loan offers.

Monza have been in touch with the Premier League outfit for some time now. They are ready to offer him a semi-guaranteed spot in the starting XI and a simple straightforward loan until the end of the season.

Lazio’s offer is completely different as they would like to include a buy option in any potential loan transfer. Representatives of the club have been in contact with the Blues in recent days as they look to strike a deal.
