Luis Suarez has riled Barcelona fans with a gesture he made to Atletico Madrid players after Saturday’s 2-1 win for Diego Simeone’s side over the Catalans.
The Uruguayan played for both clubs during his career but is best known for his time at Barcelona after spending six successful years with the club.
After seeing Atletico beat Barcelona on Saturday, Suarez sent the team some food from the ‘Chalito’ restaurant - which he owns a stake in - to celebrate the win.
Koke showed off the gifts on social media as the team headed home with the message ‘Thank you, Lucho.’
The gesture has not gone unnoticed on social media where fans have criticised Suarez and questioned his status as a Barca legend.
Suarez left Barcelona in 2020 after being told by Ronald Koeman he wasn’t in his plans for the future. The forward was clearly emotional at his farewell ceremony and said it was “hard to accept” but that he’d always “always be one more cule.”
