Ange Postecoglou has come under pressure again after Tottenham’s chastening defeat to Liverpool on Sunday
Tottenham Hotspur felt the might of Liverpool on Sunday as they were beaten 6-3 in North London in the Premier League.
The Reds completely outclassed and outran Spurs in all facets of the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The North London side’s latest defeat they have now lost more games (eight) than they have won in the Premier League this season. it also left them in 11th spot, putting pressure once again on boss Ange Postecoglou.
After crucial back-to-back wins over Southampton (Premier League) and Manchester United (Carabao Cup), Tottenham were pulled back down to earth by Arne Slot’s Liverpool as they exposed all-too-known defensive frailties.

Ex-scout Bryan King thinks Ange Postecoglou will be feeling the heat after his team’s harrowing 6-3 defeat to Liverpool at the weekend. However, he feels the 59-year-old is not under any immediate pressure of being axed.
“It has been a funny week for Postecoglou,” Bryan King exclusively told Tottenham News.
“This is only his second season, it has been getting ridiculous all this chopping and changing managers over the past couple of years. Things like that don’t help the stability of the club.
“However, Postecoglou has got to remember that if you’re going to play football then you need to defend sometimes too. I don’t think he is in any immediate danger, but Spurs need to win matches. As long as he wins them, people won’t knock him, but losing 6-3 at home to anybody is not a good sign.
“Something’s not right at Tottenham.”
Dejan Kulusevski was the only Tottenham who could hold his head high vs Liverpool
It appeared as if the wins over Southampton and Man United had taken some pressure off Big Ange’s shoulders. But it wasn’t to be as table-toppers Liverpool showed no mercy on a severely depleted Tottenham side, running riot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. And the manner in which they lost could raise questions over Big Ange’s tactics, style of play and management once again, something former Man United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel criticised after the game.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful are sympathetic to the situation the Australian manager finds himself in as they sang his name for large parts of the game on Sunday. Their attention, though, appears to be on Daniel Levy and ENIC, especially after they released black balloons in protest in the 24th minute of Spurs’ defeat to Liverpool.

Thus, to deflect from the situation, Big Ange will be hoping Levy doesn’t make any hasty decisions by sacking him. The incredibly inconsistent performances and results are alarming and has put the Tottenham gaffer under pressure but he certainly needs more time to turn the club’s fortunes around.
