Milos Kerkez, who's been linked with a move to Liverpool, heaped praise on Dominik Szoboszlai after the Hungarian midfielder's impressive performance in its 6-3 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
Szoboszlai, who scored and assisted in the match, helped the Reds extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table. Despite facing some criticism this season, his recent display in North London has garnered acclaim, particularly as Liverpool look to bolster their full-back options, with Kerkez being a potential addition.
Andy Robertson bounced back strongly in the Spurs game following a suspension from a red card incident against Fulham.
Kerkez showed his support by commenting "Magic my bruder [brother]," on Szoboszlai's festive Instagram post that read: "Merry Xmas, Reds!"
Although Szoboszlai delivered a standout performance, he missed out on the Player of the Match award, which went to Luis Diaz after his two-goal contribution.
Post-match, Szoboszlai reflected on his performance, saying: "I don't know, I try to always do my best. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, I'm just putting effort on the pitch, I hope I can help the team all the time.
"I say to Ali at the end of the game, I'd rather play teams like this than who sit back. There's so space in behind them, especially when we have players behind and if we time it well, we'll have so many chances."
