Real Madrid once again see homegrown player as good left-back reinforcement – report

After leaving Real Madrid last summer, Nico Paz has established himself as one of the most promising talents in Serie A with Como.

His ability has shone from the very first matches with newly-promoted Italian club, and his influence goes beyond the statistics.

The two goals and four assists in his first 15 appearances only partially reflect his impact on Cesc Fabregas’ team and the flashes of quality he has shown.

At 20 years old, the Argentine prodigy’s future is bright, and his name is already on the radar of Europe’s top clubs.

Inter Milan interested

Indeed, according to AS, reigning Serie A champions Inter Milan have shown an interest in Nico Paz, for whom Real Madrid have a buyback clause.

The Nerazzurri’s vice-president, Javier Zanetti, was in attendance during Como’s recent game against AS Roma and watched the 20-year-old playmaker in action.

Furthermore, Inter manager Simone Inzaghi has also spoken highly of the versatile attacking midfielder, saying:

“He has quality, a good physique, and a great foot. He will have a fantastic career. I don’t know him, but I’ve heard great things about him, even on a personal level.”

Inter Milan are looking for young talents to add to their squad and Paz fits the bill perfectly.

But the youngster’s s future will also depend on Real Madrid. The Spanish club has a buyback option on the Argentine. And if they do not exercise it, Inter will not hesitate to act.

The presence of Lautaro Martinez, with whom Nico has shared the Argentine national team dressing room with, could be a telling factor if Inter do decide to act concretely on their interest.

Real Madrid, for their part, have been closely watching Nico Paz’s development at Como, although there does not appear to be any plan to bring him back as things stand.
