Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo's agents are reportedly in positive talks with Arsenal for a potential transfer ahead of the winter transfer window. Olmo joined Barca from RB Leipzig for a reported €60 million in the summer of 2024.
Dani Olmo rose from the ranks of Barcelona's famed academy La Masia before moving to Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb and eventually RB Leipzig in 2020. Olmo became key to Spain's victory in the 2024 Euros, contributing three goals and two assists in six outings. The Spaniard's impressive display in the tournament led Barcelona to sign their academy product in the summer of 2024.
Despite missing out on a few games due to injuries, Dani Olmo has been an asset for the Catalan side. In 15 outings for La Blaugrana across competitions this campaign, Olmo has recorded six goals and one assist. However, owing to Barca's well-known financial situation, the club have not been able to register him for the latter half of the season.

According to Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Dani Olmo's agents are maintaining regular and positive contact with both Arsenal and Manchester City ahead of the January transfer window. If Barcelona are unable to re-register Dani Olmo, the Spaniard will be able to leave as a free agent in the winter window due to a clause in his contract.
However, the aforementioned report suggests that a deal with Arsenal is unlikely, given the uncertainty after their sporting director Edu's departure in November. However, the Gunners will still try to make the most of the opportunity if Olmo becomes available during the January transfer window.

According to the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Barcelona and Arsenal are set to battle it out to sign 22-year-old Lucien Agoume this summer. The Frenchman has been impressive for Sevilla this season in 18 outings for the club.
Agoume first joined Sevilla on a loan deal with an option to buy in January 2024. In the summer of 2024, the Andalusians bought 50% of his rights for a reported €4 million. Agoume's performances have caught the sight of multiple European giants.
Barcelona are closely monitoring the situation as they have been looking to sign a defensive midfielder since Sergio Busquets' departure in 2023. Agoume's signing can reinforce the pivot position for the Catalans, as Marc Casado is their only option for the position this season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also keen to secure Lucien Agoume's services, with the departure of 31-year-old Thomas Partey on the cards. As per the report, the Gunners are in a better position to sign Agoume, given Barca's financial troubles.
Meanwhile, Sevilla have the option to secure another 40% of Lucien Agoume's rights (making it a total of 90%) for another €4 million this summer. This will enable the Andalusians to sell him for a bigger sum to interested parties.
