Bayern Munich have told Joshua Kimmich they want a decision on his future by the start of January as the Germany international heads into the final months of his contract at the club.
Kimmich has yet to decide if he will stay or move on but Barcelona remain interested in his situation and could try to bring him in on a free transfer, according to Sky Sport Germany.
The Germany star has said he plans to make a decision before the end of the season but Bayern now appear to be pressing for an answer.
“I will not wait until summer. I will sit down in winter and then try to see the bigger picture. And make the right decision.“ he told ZDF sportstudio.
Bayern have made it clear they want to keep hold of Kimmich but the 29-year-old certainly isn’t in a rush to put pen to paper.
He’s also refused to rule out a move to Barcelona, offering the Catalans hope he could be tempted to join Hansi Flick’s side on a free transfer.
