Sunderland are currently entertaining some widespread top flight interest in their players, with a handful of Black Cats stars in demand ahead of January.
Sunderland could be in store for a tricky, but potentially lucrative January transfer window, with a number of their players now in demand.
Right now, Jobe Bellingham is the main one. Bellingham is wanted by Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund and could be the main one to keep an eye on in January.
Elsewhere, there’s names like Chris Rigg who’s also been linked with Real Madrid this season, whilst Liverpool are looking at Trey Ogunsuyi who’s yet to make his Championship debut for Sunderland.
It shows the good work that Sunderland are doing in recruiting, producing, and developing young talent, with the Sunderland owners now boasting a very expensive first-team squad.
Elsewhere, Dan Ballard has been in transfer headlines of late. It’s reported that Brighton are among those keen on Ballard ahead of January, with the likes of Aston Villa, Wolves, and even Newcastle United also taking a look.

Carlton Palmer plays down chances of Newcastle United deal for Dan Ballard
Speaking to Football League World, former England man Carlton Palmer has discussed Ballard’s Sunderland future, and Newcastle’s emerging interest.
Palmer explained: “Of course, you will want to play in the Premier League and, having bought him [Ballard] for £2million, the figure they have put on his head is £20million.
MORE SUNDERLAND STORIES
“There is always talk about the noisy neighbours, Newcastle United, but I can’t see Sunderland letting him go to them.
“Clubs are going to be looking at all of their quality players. We know the way Sunderland operate – bringing players in like Dan Ballard for little money and, once they’ve flourished, looking to get £20million.
“I can’t see Sunderland letting any of their players go while they’re still in contention for automatic promotion, unless somebody comes in and breaks the bank to get them.”

Dan Ballard facing uncertain Sunderland future after 2025 prediction
Ballard is certainly reminding everyone of his class since returning from injury, proving useful at both ends of the pitch right now.
Ballard was on the scoresheet against Norwich City last time out, helping the Black Cats on their way to another comeback victory.
But the Northern Ireland man may be in his last months at the Stadium of Light. Earlier in the season, transfer expect Graeme Bailey said that Ballard will leave Sunderland if they don’t get promoted.
Like Palmer says, Sunderland may keep all their best players beyond January in a bid for promotion. But failing on that front could see a number of players leave in the summer.
