Nottingham Forest have got a lot of new admirers this season with the Reds sitting fourth in the Premier League table.
The Reds won 2-0 against Brentford at the weekend to win for the third time on the trot and enjoy Christmas with any threat of relegation already averted.
Brian Laws hailed Nuno Espirito Santo for his tactical tweak in the game against the Bees and going with three central defenders did pay dividends.
Goals from Ola Aina and Anthony Elanga secured a big three points for the Reds and Forest became the first team to win at the Gtech Community Stadium this season.
Elanga claimed he’d received a text from Jermain Defoe last week with some advice and clearly, he’s taken that on board.
After the win, a promotion hero has been quizzed on the club and he’s been a big fan of watching the club from afar.

Joe Lolley shares what he loves about watching Forest
The winger who helped the Reds win promotion to the Premier League during the 2021/22 campaign was a fan favourite at the football club.
Lolley was on the bench on that memorable day at Wembley and he can perhaps count himself unlucky not to have earned a shot at the Premier League.
MORE FOREST STORIES
He moved to the A-League to play for Sydney FC following a falling out with Steve Cooper in the summer of 2022 and hasn’t really looked back.
However, he’s admitted that he does take a close look at the club’s scores and is ecstatic to see the team doing so well.
He said in the media: “It’s an absolute joy to be seeing them flying so highly. They go forward so quickly and have enough attacking calibre to do damage to any team in this league. Forest will always have a place in my heart and I will always be following their results.”
Lolley will forever be remembered by Forest fans
During a period where things weren’t always rosy, Lolley was comfortably one of the most exciting players the team had.
Lolley’s record of 26 goals and 27 assists from 171 appearances might not sound a lot but during the 2018/19 campaign, he was largely unplayable at times.
That was during the period where it was claimed that Aston Villa were keen to pay big money to sign him such was his brilliant form for the Reds.
Injuries meant that he didn’t play too much during the promotion-winning season of 2021/22 but he will forever be in folklore as part of the squad that restored Premier League football.
It’s great to hear that Lolley still has a soft spot for the football club and his left foot is arguably one of the best that Forest fans have seen in recent memory.
