Wolves fans are optimistic about the remainder of the season following the arrival of Vitor Pereira.
It’s been a tough old season so far, but Pereira replaced Gary O’Neil as manager last week and the new man at the helm got off to a cracking start on Sunday.
Wolves beat Leicester 3-0, and gave one of their best performances of the season.
Admittedly Leicester were very poor, but Wolves were still impressive compared to previous weeks.
They were clinical in the final third, and Wolves were just much more organised overall and fans didn’t really get the sense that the lead was ever in jeopardy, which was extremely refreshing.
Goncalo Guedes enjoyed one of his most impactful performances to date, scoring and assisting against the Foxes. Guedes now has more goal contributions than the likes of Diogo Jota and Marcus Rashford.
And there was yet another top display from Matheus Cunha, who’s come in for praise from Troy Deeney.

Deeney has named his latest Premier League Team of the Week, and Cunha is the only representative from Wolves.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
In his eyes, the Brazilian has been Wolves’ most important player this season.
He said (BBC Sport): “No matter what has been going at Wolves, Cunha has been the one player whose level of performance has been consistent.
“The new manager, Vitor Pereira, has come in and got them a great victory against Leicester. I felt they were calm and composed under him.”
Cunha took his goal tally to nine for the season across all competitions.
Some Leicester fans were irked that he was even allowed to play on Sunday, given Cunha got charged by the FA for misconduct following his antics after the defeat to Ipswich Town.
Seemingly, they are still trying to decide how long his ban will be. But while they’re doing that, Cunha is free to play games for Wolves.
Cunha will be a huge miss for Wolves
Cunha was superb on Sunday against Leicester, which makes the fact he is going to be banned soon hard to accept.
Pereira has gotten off to a great start, but it will be a big challenge for him in the coming weeks with the fixture difficulty increasing.
The positive for Wolves is that other players have been showing they are capable of scoring goals.
Jorgen Strand Larsen has scored six so far, and Guedes has five. And both of these players have also been chipping in with assists too.
When Cunha is banned, both will be required to step up.
