Manchester United are considering an approach for Chelsea target Victor Osimhen when the transfer window reopens in January, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
The Nigeria international was a top target for the Blues in the last transfer window, but a deal did not materialise as he was reluctant to accept a significant pay-cut.
Osimhen ended up signing for Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, but there is a break clause that can be activated as the beginning of the New Year.
It is now reported that United are lining up an offer for the 25-year-old sensation. They see him as a potential replacement for Marcus Rashford.
Rashford has been unconvincing leading the line under new manager Ruben Amorim and he has fallen out-of-favour over the past three games.
The Englishman could be offloaded at the turn of the year and reports claim that United have already made contact with Osimhen's agent.
A deal won't be straightforward with Napoli expected to demand his €75m release clause. They are unlikely to provide any kind of discount.
