Ange Postecoglou allowed one of Tottenham Hotspur’s midfielders to leave in the summer for just £8 million and now he’s proving the Australian made a mistake.
The former Spurs man is flying with his new team following his exit from the North London club and has scored more goals in the league than the likes of Jude Bellingham and Lamine Yamal.
Ange Postecoglou’s squad has been significantly hit by injuries this season and the Lilywhites’ boss will regret having let this player leave for so cheap.

Giovani Lo Celso flying after Tottenham exit
Giovani Lo Celso is absolutely flying at Real Betis following his summer exit from Tottenham. Spurs allowed him to leave for just £8 million back in August and Betis have got themselves a real steal.
During his time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Argentine struggled to stay consistently fit and at Betis, he has already had a short period out having missed six games with a hamstring issue. But when he has been fit, the 28-year-old has been superb.
Betis are currently sitting in ninth place in La Liga but are just five points off a potential Europa League qualification spot. Lo Celso will be key for helping them get back into Europe this season, especially given his recent form.
Lo Celso has scored more La Liga goals this season than the likes of Jude Bellingham, Lamine Yamal, Rodrygo, Julien Alvarez and Dani Olmo. The midfielder is also on the same number as Antoine Griezmann and just one behind Vinicius Junior. Meanwhile, he ranks fourth for goals per 90 minutes for players with seven goals or more.
Player Goals Goals per 90
Ayoze Perez 8 0.98
Robert Lewandowski 16 0.97
Alexander Sorloth 8 0.93
Giovani Lo Celso 7 0.72
Kylian Mbappe 10 0.66
Vinicius Junior 8 0.65

How Tottenham could still benefit from Giovani Lo Celso’s sale
But despite letting such a talented player leave for so cheap, the Lilywhites could still benefit from the sale of Lo Celso. That is because Spurs have the option to sign Johnny Cardoso for £21 million next summer.
Tottenham need to upgrade Yves Bissouma and Cardoso could be the perfect player to replace him. The midfielder has been great in La Liga this term although injuries have hampered him at times.
