Ruben Amorim is in the process of finding his feet in the Premier League after a difficult first few weeks as Manchester United head coach.
Manchester United remain inconsistent despite a change in management, with Erik ten Hag being sent his marching orders over a month ago. His successor, Ruben Amorim, has been given a crash course in life at Old Trafford.
The Premier League table doesn’t read well for fans as we sit 13th, especially after watching United lose 3-0 to Bournemouth on Sunday. To make matters worse, it feels like we’re slipping away from competing for a Champions League spot each week.
Amorim’s side will try to get back on track when they travel to Molineux on Boxing Day.
Meanwhile, Wolves will be looking to record back-to-back wins after beating Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City 3-0 at the weekend.

Vitor Pereira backs Ruben Amorim to succeed at Manchester United
Newly appointed Wolves manager Vitor Pereira believes Amorim will eventually find his feet in the Premier League.
Amorim has made lots of changes to the first team for most matches because he is still trying to figure out which players are going to suit his system best from the current crop.
The two Portuguese coaches go head-to-head as managers for the first time on Boxing Day.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Pereira, 56, managed FC Porto when Amorim played for their rivals Benfica.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the match on Thursday, Pereira said: “We never played against each other because I am a lot older. “I took a lot of time to arrive here (in England), because I made maybe bad steps in my career and missed opportunities to come sooner.
Pereira also explained how Amorim is the new generation of Portuguese coaches – renowned for their communication skills, tactical awareness and strategic planning.
“Amorim is the new generation of Portuguese coach with a lot of talent and communication, tactical, strategical talent and I believe he will do a very good work in the Premier League.”
How Amorim’s rocky start reads on paper
Amorim has only managed seven points from six league games as United head coach.
Fans know patience is required when a new manager comes through the door and they’ve given that to every man that stood in the dugout since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
It won’t be any different for Amorim, who has impressed fans with his honesty when asked about United’s weaknesses and where the team must improve.
We’re a long shot away from the form shown by Amorim’s Sporting CP side, which won their first 11 games of the season under the 39-year-old coach.
Big improvements are needed for United to replicate that form in the Premier League.
