Arsenal have taken a firm stance on Raheem Sterling’s loan from Chelsea after the winger picked up an injury and is set to be out for a few weeks. As per TBR Football, the Gunners have no interest in cutting Sterling’s deal short in January despite him facing a few weeks on the sidelines.

The player has appeared sparingly for the north Londoners, making just 11 appearances and playing for 426 minutes across those games. He has also contributed one goal and two assists so far and will look to do better upon his return from injury.
Along with Sterling, Arsenal will also be without Bukayo Saka, who has suffered a torn hamstring. This leaves Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard as the only senior wingers available at the club. Mikel Arteta did not provide a clear idea about Sterling’s injury timeline, but if him and Saka are going to be out for a while, the club may well have to enter the January transfer market.
It remains to be seen how this pans out.

While Arsenal have had their fair share of injury issues, the talk of some players leaving will begin to re-emerge as we near the January transfer window. As per TBR Football correspondent Graeme Bailey, clubs from the Saudi Pro League have reignited their interest in Gunners’ winger Leandro Trossard.
The Belgian has proved to be a utility man for the Gunners since joining in January 2023, chipping-in regularly with goals and assists. Since then, he has made 92 appearances across competitions, scoring 22 goals and providing 14 assists as well. This season, Trossard has played 24 games across competitions, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
With Saka and Sterling out for a considerable duration, pressure will be on Leandro Trossard to fill their shoes and perform. As a result, the Gunners are unlikely to let him leave in January at least.
