While no new additions are expected in the FC Barcelona squad in this upcoming winter transfer window, the Blaugranes are still planning to strengthen their team in the next summer transfer window.
One of the areas that the Catalans are looking to reinforce before the start of the next season is that of the left wing, where they have already been linked with several big names in the last few months.
One such player that has been linked with them recently is the Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, who is reportedly looking for a change of scenery at the end of this season.
It is still highly doubtful whether Barcelona will actually make a move for him, but according to Fichajes, the Blaugranes already have a formula in mind to get the Englishman, i.e., using Ansu Fati as a bargaining chip in this operation.
The report claims that Hansi Flick has convinced his club to bet on Rashford, as he believes the English winger will bring more versatility and efficiency to his attack.

Meanwhile, Ansu Fati is once again having quite an irregular season at the Blaugrana club, and there are a lot of doubts about his continuity as he is not getting many minutes on the pitch. In such a scenario, Barcelona are open to parting ways with him, even on a loan in this January window.
On the other hand, such a deal might also be attractive to Manchester United, as there is no doubt that Fati can still grow and develop once he gets over his physical and mental problems.
Such mutual interest can spur on this operation, even though negotiations are expected to be quite complicated. However, it still remains to be seen which of the several left-wing operations Barcelona ultimately decide to bet on, while it is also quite unlikely for a club of Manchester United’s ambitions to settle for a player who has not been able to impress for some years now.
