Enzo Maresca has transformed Chelsea into a side that is feared once more in the Premier League.
The Blues currently sit second in the table, just four points behind the leaders, Liverpool. Despite Chelsea’s poor performance against Everton, they’re well in and among it for title contenders.
A lot of that has to be put down to Maresca. The Italian has transformed the Chelsea first-team squad, has implemented a clear style of play and, most importantly, has brought the good times back to Stamford Bridge.
Even he couldn’t have envisioned he’d have done it this quickly.

Enzo Maresca has already won over Chelsea fans
When the 44-year-old arrived, he had his first Chelsea interview, where he stated it was of the utmost importance to create a culture that fans can be proud of.
Maresca told Chelsea’s website in July: “In this moment, when you join a club you try to analyse what the club and team needs to improve and do the right things.
“For me, it’s clear we need to create as soon as possible the right mentality and culture, a culture that the fans can be proud of. This is very important.

“We are going to try to be an aggressive team on the ball and off the ball and we need to create this connection between the fans and the club, especially at home.
“When you have your own fans behind the team pushing, it’s like playing with 12 players and this is what we have to create here.”
Maresca has done this and more at Chelsea
Not only has Maresca managed to obtain this, but he’s also got Chelsea playing proper football again.
His first message also told Chelsea fans to ‘trust the process’, which everyone now seems to certainly be on board with.
Maresca continued to club media: “Just trust the process, trust the idea, be behind the team. For sure we are going to enjoy the journey.
“Like at every club, for every manager, it will not be easy because nothing is easy. But for sure we are going to enjoy our journey.”
It seemed a funny decision at the time to sack Mauricio Pochettino and bring in a relatively unproven manager – now it looks like a stroke of genius from Todd Boehly and Co.
Where Chelsea will end up come the end of the Premier League season remains to be seen, but we are almost certain it will definitely be Maresca getting them over the line.
