Barcelona star ‘well ahead’ of schedule in recovery from long-term injury

An altogether positive update on the wellbeing of Barcelona starlet Marc Bernal has this week come to the fore online.

This comes amid confirmation that the midfielder’s recovery from injury is progressing even faster than could have been hoped.

Bernal, for his part, was of course dealt a hammer blow back in August.

After establishing himself as a key figure in the engine room setup of new boss Hansi Flick at just 17 years of age, Bernal picked up a knee problem late in a 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano.

As much was subsequently confirmed to be an ACL tear, ruling the starlet out for the long-term.

This past Monday, Bernal took to his personal social media accounts to showcase his early recovery progess, by way of a series of photos of the Spaniard working in the gym.

And, as per a report from Barca insider **[Toni Juanmarti of Diario Sport](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/optimismo-marc-bernal-recuperacion-mejor-previsto-112885595)**, ‘Marc Bernal’s last medical check-up, which took place last week, showed that the midfielder is well ahead of what would be expected at this stage of his recovery.’

The aim nevertheless remains a return to the pitch in September of 2025, but the signs for Bernal, as of now, could not be more positive.
