Two Everton players on list for Roma as ‘synergies’ in Friedkin Group start for January transfer window

Roma are eyeing up Everton striker Beto and midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure in the January transfer window as they look to strengthen their squad.

That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who report that the ‘synergies’ between the two clubs are already flowing after the Friedkin Group completed their takeover at Goodison Park.

The newspaper reports that while focus remains on work on the pitch, Claudio Ranieri and director of football Florent Ghisolfi ‘will not be able to turn off their phones’.

Roma are anticipating a ‘lively winter market’, with Ranieri already admitting publicly that they want to improve the squad.

Finding a striker to help Artem Dovbyk is the priority and the Friedkins can help on that front. They’re now in charge at Everton and the ‘synergies’ between the two clubs are already flowing.

The focus is on Beto, who is ‘finding little space’ under Sean Dyche and currently pushing to return to Italy. Doucouré, meanwhile, is out of contract in the summer and a move to Roma could help Everton avoid losing him on a free. Even a small transfer fee would aid their PSR status too.

On the subject of Beto, Gazzetta dello Sport also report that he’s been offered to Juventus as they look for an alternative to Arkadiusz Milik. He’s one of several they’re looking at, however.

Throw in a report from earlier today also stating that Torino want the striker in January, and it looks set to be a busy month for him.
